The 21-year-old Canadian tennis star was spotted among the spectators watching Dimitrov's 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 victory over the world's No. 2 player - he would go on to lose his next match to Gael Monfils in three sets -- which prompted a question to the Bulgarian about his audience.

The 24-year-old Dimitrov sounded puzzled at the question, but having had a public relationship with Sharapova, it's possible that Dimitrov may have been using old reflexes to deflect questions about his personal life.

Dimitrov and Sharapova dated for 2 ½ years before ending the relationship last summer. There was a report from Tennis X that Dimitrov cheated on Sharapova with , which led to the split.
Dimitrov also was linked romantically to Serena Williams in 2012, which contributed to the rivalry between Williams and Sharapova.
In January, former Pussycat Doll member Nicole Scherzinger confirmed she was in a relationship with Dimitrov, the Daily Mirror reported and no mention of any breakup has surfaced since.
The Bulgarian currently is ranked No. 28 in the world, after achieving a career high of No. 8 in the world in 2014. He was called "Baby Federer" early in his career and has won four titles.
But Dimitrov still is getting attention more for his romantic links than his tennis play.
