Boxing News 2016: Adrien Broner Wants to Face Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia in Next Fight

Adrien Broner is looking for bigger fights after his victory over Ashley Theophane on Friday, mentioning Floyd Mayweather and Danny Garcia as possible targets.

Following his victory against Theophane, Broner took a swipe at Mayweather, who blasted his former protégé before the fight on Friday. Broner said that he will not call Mayweather as his big brother anymore, adding that Mayweather's will not be 50-0 if the retired superstar will decide to face him.

"If we do fight, he won't be 50-0," Broner said, referring to a possible fight with Mayweather.

However, Mayweather, who retired after scoring a unanimous decision win against Andre Berto in September last year, said that Broner's challenge was the "biggest joke" he heard on April Fool's Day. The 39-year-old superstar has reiterated all along that he is not planning to come out of retirement.

Meanwhile, Broner also revealed that he will likely return to the welterweight division after having difficulties trimming down for the fight against Theophane. The 26-year-old lost his World Boxing Association super lightweight title after weighing 140.4 pounds during the official weigh-in -- almost half-a-pound above the limit.

And when he moves up to the welterweight division, Broner said that he is willing to face reigning World Boxing Council 147-pound ruler Danny Garcia. The Ohio native said the is determined to set aside their friendship, as he is aching to become the best ever, and he can only do that by fighting the best in the sport.

"This is a business, this is a business," Broner said via BoxingScene. "At the end of the day, if me and Danny fight - we fight. But I respect Danny and love everything he's doing and want him to keep winning. I'm willing to fight anybody man. I'm trying to be the best ever, the best ever. And the best ever don't mean just being undefeated."

Garcia, who has a perfect 32-0 record with 18 knockouts, won the WBC welterweight title via a unanimous decision victory against Robert Guerrero in January at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
