J.J. Watt Girlfriend: Texans Tight End Addresses Kate Hudson Dating Rumors [VIDEO]

J.J. Watt may not be a part of the next athlete-celebrity couple just yet.

In a move that rivals Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' relationship with actress Olivia Munn, Watt and Kate Hudson were on a date and captured their outing on Snapchat.

The Texans defensive end and the "Kungfu Panda 3" actress were playing with a filter that displays animated stars over the people in the video on the app. Watt playfully got frustrated when the stars would display over Hudson, but the filter didn't work on him.

While it appears Watt and Hudson were hitting it off, when a Twitter user asked him of the budding romance between him and Hudson as well as a rumored fling with another unidentified blonde, the four-time Pro Bowler set the record straight.

It appears Rodgers and Munn are safe as the A-list couple ... for now.

Still, Watt confirmed when playing with the app that the two were in fact on a date.

"Apparently, the stars belong to the hottest person on the date," Watt said in the video, which was captured by TMZ.

Watt's personal life has been a hot topic and in many ways a wild roller coaster ride. The defensive end has been notably single despite model Lindsey Pelas throwing herself at him in the fall (which he reportedly passed up on) and actress Tiffany Thiessen getting flirty with him on social media late last year.

The former No. 1 overall draft pick and Hudson have a lot in common as they both have dated athletes in the past. Watt was linked to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, while Hudson dated Yankees designated-hitter Alex Rodriguez from 2008-09.

If Watt and Hudson do hit it off, that will show he's come a long way in his quest for love.

"People [I know] think that I've never dated before, or whatever," Watt said in September via CBS Sports. "But I'm trying. I'm trying. I'm just unsuccessful. My schedule's so crazy and life's so busy, it just hasn't worked."
