Lamar Odom may be a huge part of Khloe Kardashian's family, but the reality star doesn't want his family members to be a part of the two-time NBA champion's life.
The ex-Lakers star's father, Joe Odom, 62, a war veteran who said he suffers from PTSD and pneumonia and can't work, said he was evicted from his home by the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star back in November.
"Khloe didn't even have the guts to tell me herself that my rent wasn't going to be paid anymore," he told Page Six. "She got the guys who handle Lamar's money to call me and they said the rent wouldn't be paid, I gotta move and my phone was going to get cut off."
Kardashian took over Lamar Odom's finances after he suffered a near-fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel back in October. The former NBA champion has made a miraculous recovery and though the future of his marriage with Kardashian is murky, she has a lot of say in his personal life.
Joe Odom said his son paid his $4,000 rent every month for 10 years, but Kardashian put a stop to it when she took over his finances, eventually booting Lamar's disabled father and his wife, Cecelia, 59, from their house.
"She disrespected me. She decided to kick me out of my home when Lamar was in hospital in Nevada," he said. "I just wish I could be at his side in L.A. to support him, but Khloe doesn't want me there."
Joe added that he doesn't get through to his son anymore and that the "Kocktails with Khloe" host answers his phone whenever he calls.
"She may be Lamar's wife, but I'm his father," he said. "She shouldn't have cut me out of his life like she has."
How long Kardashian will be married to Odom remains a mystery. She was all set to divorce the former NBA star prior to his near-death experience.
Things are reportedly shaky between the two, especially after Lamar was spotted out at bars drinking again. Things also seemed rocky when a source revealed he blames the Kardashian family for his downfall.
The speculation of the divorce going through grew even more after Kardashian posted a cryptic quote about letting go.
For now, Kardashian is still married to Odom and that union apparently includes her having a say over who can and can't be a part of his life.
