Jeremy Lin is back as the Houston Rockets starting point guard, according to ESPN.com

With opening-night starter Patrick Beverley expected to miss up to two weeks with a rib injury suffered in the team's 96-3 win over Charlotte , Lin will return to the lineup when the Rockets visit the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

I'll still be the same player," Lin told ESPN of his return to the starting lineup. "Obviously, we need Pat and we need Pat to play at a high level for us to be where we want to be. He has to get healthy. Other guys have minor injuries, too. Everybody needs to get healthy."

In 31 minutes, Lin scored 16 points and dished two assists against the Bobcats, Ironically enough, he too was injured, suffering a cut to his chin that required several stitches to close.

Star guard James Harden is also dealing with a sore wrist and back, but insisted he will be fine to team with Dwight Howard against the Mavs.

"I got treatment Thursday and this morning," Harden told ESPN. "I feel good. It loosened up a lot. So hopefully I'll be ready to play tonight. I got some shots up at shootaround and feel pretty good."
