Dave Bautista: Wrestler. Movie star. Pole dancer?

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star, who goes under the ring name "Batista" in the WWE, attended the Miss Pole Dance America 2016 competition over the weekend to watch his wife compete with nine other women.

Bautista's wife, Sarah Jade, took home first place in the contest and the former WWE Superstar-turned-actor revealed that he tried out pole dancing himself.

"This is not something that just anybody can do, especially on this elite level," Bautista told TMZ Sports. "And so I've actually tried some of the stuff and made quite the fool out of myself."

Perhaps "The Animal" should just stick to wrestling and acting.

As for being there live and in person to watch his wife win the competition, Bautista was very happy to witness the feat.

"I was super proud," he said. "I don't think I've ever moved as fast as when I jumped out of that seat, I was so excited."

He wasn't always excited over his wife partaking in pole dancing. In fact, the six-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion didn't want to watch his wife perform when she began competing.

"When she first started competing, I actually wouldn't go," Batista said. "Because I thought it was gonna be a lot of guys with remarks that wouldn't sit well with me and I just would make a scene and embarrass her, but it's just not like that at all. This is a premiere contest in the United States."

Bautista played Drax the Destroyer in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film that came out in 2014, and since that role he has landed many other gigs in Hollywood, keeping him out of the squared circle.

He left the WWE in June 2014 and was expected to return after a hiatus, but he hasn't been back since his career in Hollywood took off. Though he turned down an appearance at WrestleMania 32 last month, he has always remained open to a comeback once it's right for him.

"I get constantly asked if I am going to go back and I would," Batista told HeyUGuys in London in April 2015. "I love wrestling. I talked to Chris Jericho, who is a good friend of mine recently, and he does a lot of untelevised events, that's all he does and I think I may take that path if I go back."
