Holly Holm Next Fight: UFC Star Turns Down Movie Role To Focus On MMA Career, Unlike Ronda Rousey [VIDEO]

"Hollywood" Holly Holm may have a great ring to it, but the UFC star isn't quite running to the big screen.

Ronda Rousey has made a lot of noise in Hollywood recently, appearing in multiple films, but Holm isn't prepared to follow suit, instead looking to focus on her upcoming fight with Valentina Shevchenko at "UFC on Fox 20" on July 23 at the United Center in Chicago.

Holm was recently offered a role in a major movie production, but turned it down to focus on her upcoming fight with Shevchenko, according to TMZ Sports. Holm's representative, Lenny Fresquez, wouldn't comment on his client turning it down, but did say he's fielded a lot of calls on potential roles for Holm.

Though Holm recently brought in an agency to handle a potential acting career for her, she isn't trying to leave the Octagon for the big screen just yet. Her agent even took a shot at Rousey's decision to focus on acting and fighting rather than just one thing at a time.

"She's focused on fighting," Fresquez said. "We don't want to make the same mistakes that somebody else made."

Rousey was taking acting roles and fighting at the same time when she faced Holm in their infamous bout at UFC 193 in November. "Rowdy" suffered her first UFC loss and dropped the women's bantamweight championship. She hasn't fought since, but Rousey is working her way back to the Octagon.

Holm will keep her attention on her upcoming fight with Schevchenko, who had some out-of-the-Octagon drama as well. When in Peru recently, the Russian UFC star and her trainer were caught in a robbery at a chicken restuarant that led to a shootout.

"It's a situation like you never know when it's [gonna] happen and it was like, why is this happening to me?" Shevchenko told TMZ Sports recently. "It cannot be like this right now, but when it happened it was just a [few] seconds and it was just action. When I saw that the robbers were close to us, it was really scary because it's only one thing, they can [shoot] ... so it was you go or they go, so I'm very happy that it's over."

Despite the outside distractions, both ladies are headed for a fight next month ... then maybe Holm will think about an acting career.
