Nick Young, Iggy Azalea Split Rumors: Lakers Star Believes Breakup Will Help Him Play Better [VIDEO]

Nick Young's crumbling personal life will only have a positive impact on his professional career, the NBA star claims.

Iggy Azalea called off her engagement to the NBA star after she discovered his rampant cheating. Their relationship first headed down a rocky road when Young admitted to cheating on Azalea on video when he was unknowingly being recorded by his teammate D'Angelo Russell.

Then, the Australian rapper went into detail about how Young cheated on her with girls in their home, which she discovered on security cameras. That led to Azalea calling off the wedding and their relationship altogether.

As for how this very public, personal turmoil will impact him on the court, Young thinks it will only drive him to be better.

"I'm back on track," Young told TMZ Sports when speaking about how he'll play this season without Azalea in his life.

As usual during his post-breakup life, the Lakers forward was once again in a jovial mood despite the personal issues he's been through with Azalea. As far as a reconciliation, the former first-round draft pick said he "can only do so much."

In fact, he did a lot to force the "Fancy" singer out the door.

Azalea revealed on Instagram that she split from Young, calling her future a "blank page," and she later revealed the story of him going behind her back in their own home. The NBA star seems to be doing fine as he wrote "single" on Twitter shortly after the split and even threw a 4th of July bash in the house they once shared.

The story took another turn when the mother of Young's child, Keonna Green, sold her side of the story, going into details about how she and Young would get together behind Azalea's back and how she's expecting a child again. Young avoided any questions about the pregnancy when confronted by TMZ.

Young, 31, averaged just 7.3 points in 54 games (two starts) last season. He believes he'll only get better now that he's back to the single life.
