WWE Brand Split 2016 Rumors: 5 Potential No. 1 Overall Picks For 'RAW' [POLL, VIDEO]

The highly-anticipated WWE Draft will take place on Tuesday and "Monday Night RAW" will have the first overall pick.

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and her appointed general manager Mick Foley will get things started on "SmackDown Live" as the flagship show gets to pick first from the talent pool as the brand extension comes into full force.

On the other end, "SmackDown Live" commissioner Shane McMahon and his general manager Daniel Bryan will be waiting in the wings. To read the draft rules, click here. To read our latest fantasy mock draft, click here.

There are several Superstars worthy of going first overall, but here are five potential No. 1 picks for the "RAW" brand.

1) Dean Ambrose

After some controversy, the "Lunatic Fringe" is still the WWE Champion following his match with Seth Rollins on "RAW." That alone makes him a candidate to go early in the draft. While Ambrose would make a sound pick, it could also be a long shot given Stephanie's disdain for him as WWE Champion.

2) Seth Rollins

"The Architect" makes the most sense to be the face of "RAW" since Stephanie has a long history with him and was rooting for him to defeat Ambrose on Monday. If Rollins went No. 1 to "RAW" and Ambrose went No. 2 to "SmackDown," it would necessitate the need for a new champion for the Red Brand. Rollins would be the perfect choice, but hopefully he isn't just handed the belt like Triple H was during the original split.

3) Brock Lesnar

If "RAW" really wants to make an impact, bringing "The Beast" into the fold right away could be the way to go. It's a risky pick since he's a part-time performer and is coming off of a controversial potential failed doping test by the USDA ahead of his bout with Mark Hunt at UFC 200. Still, Lesnar is arguably the biggest draw the WWE has, so securing such a high-profile piece early in the draft would be a sound move.

4) John Cena

One can never rule out the face of the franchise as a potential early selection. The "Cenation" leader is no stranger to being drafted overall and since he is a 15-time World Heavyweight Champion, it wouldn't be surprising to see him go very early again. Now that he's back from his injury and remains one of the biggest draws in the WWE, there's no doubt he'll be taken early, if not No. 1.

5) AJ Styles

The "Phenomenal One" can certainly carry a brand by himself, so he wouldn't be a bad pick No. 1 overall. Given his TNA past, however, the WWE may wait a bit before having him get selected. Though his mic skills as a heel haven't really been on point, Styles is tremendous in the ring and has chemistry with just about anyone, so making him the cornerstone of "RAW" wouldn't be a bad move.
