Colin Kaepernick Girlfriend: 49ers QB Becoming Bigger Activist With Nessa [VIDEO]

Colin Kaepernick has started a movement by kneeling down during the National Anthem.

On Week 1, all around the NFL, players followed in the quarterback's protest by taking a knee during the song as a way to combat the poor race relations they feel is abound in the United States.

Kaepernick began the process during the preseason and carried it over into Monday night's game where he and the 49ers blanked the newly-moved Los Angeles Rams, 28-0.

It turns out, Kaepernick isn't looking to be a full-time NFL quarterback and part-time advocate, he plans on going full-on with both -- with some help from his girlfriend, Nessa Diab.

Kaepernick has been talking to lawyers and activists about trying to get more involved and is planning on moving to New York with Diab to help get the word out about his views, according to Terez Owens.

The protest hasn't impacted Kaepernick's play on the field. The signal-caller went 22-for-35 for 170 yards and a touchdown in the "Monday Night Football" victory.

The quarterback has been dating Diab, a New York City-based DJ and "Girl Code" star for over a year and they jpublicly revealed their relationship this past Valentine's Day.

When Kaepernick's future with the 49ers was in question this offseason, there were rumors that he wanted to be traded to the Jets to get closer to Diab in New York. When the offseason ends, fans of Kaepernick who wants to stream his games online can avoid NFL Game Pass blackouts with a VPN.

Now, it seems like he could be headed to the Big Apple anyway.
