Phoenix Suns Rumors: Brandon Knight Going To The Sacramento Kings To Join DeMarcus Cousins [VIDEO]

Nba trade rumors on Brandon Knight are headlining the news nowadays. Rumors are spreading that he is one of the "big" names that will be available for trade before the trade deadline expire. Recent reports are saying he could possibly head to the Sacramento Kings to join DeMarcus Cousins and help them make a push to their playoff aspiration.

Knight have been one of the dependable guards for the Phoenix Suns the past two season. However, from being a starter last season, new Suns head coach Earl Watson decided to relegate him to the second unit after the emergence of Devin Booker last year who took his spot. Some pundits believe it only signifies that he is expendable to the team and it is only a matter of time that he'll be traded.

On the other hand, the Kings badly needs a true point guard that could stabilize their backcourt. Though they still have Darren Collison and Ty Lawson manning their backcourt after Rajon Rondo left the team last summer, both players seem to be not contributing in terms of offense and leaving DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay carrying the load for the team.

And now, one report suggest that the Kings is one possible destination for Knight. According to CBSSports, Brandon Knight could be more useful to Sacramento Kings more than the Phoenix Suns. And trading him for an another superstar might be a viable option for the Suns.

NBA trade scenario is suggesting that Knight will head to Sactown and join DeMarcus Cousins while the Suns will receive Rudy Gay on a direct swap. The NBA trade will definitely give both teams an added boost on their roster and the needed player in their rotation.

Knight is known to be an offensive-minded player and he will surely put up big numbers to alleviate the Kings deficiency on the offensive end from their backcourt. Meanwhile, Rudy Gay will shore up the power forward spot for the Suns which only have rookies, Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss. The trade would also satisfy NBA trade and salary cap rules making it a legal deal for both teams as verified with ESPN NBA Trade Machine.

Will the Sacramento Kings be able to acquire Brandon Knight and pair him with DeMarcus Cousins? Will their combination give the Kings the needed boost for their playoff aspiration?
