Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge/Plus To Release April 21; Things To Expect

A recent report from the company suggests that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge/Plus a month or two ahead of its original release date. A new report confirms that the models will be released as early as Mid-April, on Friday, April 21 to be precise.

With speculation about the company which is planning to launch its next-gen flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge/Plus has been making some positive headlines over the last couple of months and its getting intensifying.

It was earlier reported that Samsung has been planning to hold an event in March or early April to officially announce the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge/Plus to the World in New York City. The sources close to the company say that Samsung may surprise everyone and show off the smartphones a month or two earlier than its release date.

This possible early release of the smartphones means that Samsung may still continue to follow tradition and debut the models at Mobile World Congress 2017, kicking off on February 27th. Previously, the company has used this trade show to launch Galaxy S6 and S7 series.

According to the TrustedReviews, Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to have 4K screen, SD380 chip and USB-C. It will cost around £599 as expected. A source close to the industry said that the Samsung Electronics has confirmed the release schedule has been set to mid-April, possibly till the third week, Investor reported.

If we take a look at release dates of Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S7 and S7 Edge, it might provide proper idea of the release date rather than the week. Samsung released the model Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on Friday, April 10, 2015. The next year, they chose to release the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on Friday itself, March 11, 2016.

So, if the company says it will use another Friday to release its latest flagship smartphones, Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge/Plus, then its very possible that the handsets will be released in the given day on 21st April, 2017.
