Jimmy Butler still banners the NBA trade rumors as of late. For a couple of weeks, many reports have floated that the Chicago Bulls made him available for trade. Now, recent reports are saying that there is a possibility that he heads to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for 3 players.
Since last year, Butler has been linked to numerous trade deals that circulated in the news online and he is not new on this. But rumors to him just fades away as soon as the regular season starts and he quietly produces his usual numbers for the Bulls. But gossips is persistent and he is again being dragged to another trade deal this time.
According to FOXSports, the Chicago Bulls reportedly placed Jimmy Butler on the trading block ahead of the February trade deadline. The move came as a surprise because Butler is one of the vital cogs for the Bulls campaign this season and trading him seems to be insane. But there is one team that could give the Bulls a trade offer that is hard to turn down.
The Denver Nuggets are said to be one of the teams that will be active in the trade market and might be open to trades if there's one. Many observers are saying that they are lacking on defense and it shows in the stats as they currently in the 29th spot in terms of defensive ratings in the league.
And going after a defensive-minded player like Butler is a plausible option for them. And now, a proposed deal between the Chicago Bulls and Denver Nuggets is being offered for both teams. Trade scenario is suggesting that the Bulls will send Jimmy Butler to the Nuggets in exchange for Emmanuel Mudiay, Jusuf Nurkic, and Wilson Chandler.
As said earlier, the Nuggets need a defensive guy and having Butler will significantly elevate their defense. Aside from defense, Butler is also dependable on offense as he is known to be a two-way player. The Nuggets starter will have Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Butler, Danilo Gallinari and Nikola Jokic that is good enough to be competitive.
On the other hand, the Bulls acquisition is not bad at all. They have two young players at their 20's who have a big potential and a veteran forward who is a solid contributor for a team.
