33 years ago, Hulk Hogan won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship for the very first time by defeating The Iron Sheik. This was the rising point of Hulk Hogan's career and from that day he was considered as the new face of the World Wrestling Federation.

On this anniversary, Hulk Hogan tweeted saying, "I won the WWF belt from the jabroni Iron Shiek! Hard to believe that was 33yrs ago brother HH." Looking at this tweet on the historic moment The Iron Sheik replied to his tweet, "33 Years ago god save me from breaking some jabroni Howdy Doody neck raisin balls neck. Never forget who make the Hulkamania," as reported by Comic Book.

When Hulk Hogan won at the age of 30, he was just four months old in the Vince K McMahon's company and also it was just after 6 months after he won the 1983 New Japan Pro Wrestling International Grand Prix tournament as reported in wrestlezone.

Hulk Hogan was picked by Vince because he had that Charisma to attract more people and he also had got the recognition till then. On January 23rd at Madison Square Garden after pinning The Iron Sheik a star was born. Just after the match commentators said, "Hulkamania is here" and from that day Hulk Hogan's fans are referred with this tag and called as "Hulkamaniacs."

Recently, he was involved in a scandal where his sex tape was leaked and made public where Hulk Hogan was heard expressing comments against a black man and he was repeatedly using the word "nigger." As a result, Hulk Hogan was terminated from WWE in July 2015.

But people think it is just a matter of time. WWE senior executive Paul 'Triple H' Levesque is positive about Hulk Hogan's return.
