Nate Robinson Eager To Go Back To The NBA, Will Play In NBA D-League

Nate Robinson revealed that he wants to make a comeback in the NBA after spending a year playing for Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Basketball Premier League.

A video of his brief interview by Bleacher Report via their Twitter handle @BleacherReport was posted, with the 5-foot-9 playmaker that he can still do the blue collar work for any team and be a leader on and off the court.

"If I got that second chance, I'd be that stand-up guy that's blue collar, that comes in and helps guys being a great veteran, great leader, on and off the court," Robinson said in the interview.

Winner of three NBA Slam Dunk Contest titles, Robinson played for only two games with the New Orleans Pelicans in the  2015-2016 NBA season and then was signed by Hapoel Tel Aviv on March 2016. He made waves in the basketball world after his strong showing in the Israeli where he once scored 46 points, built around an efficient 15/22 clip on the field including 7-for-10 from downtown.

His team, though, still lost to Hapoel Jerusalem in overtime, 97-99.

Asked about what can he bring to the table, "Krypto-Nate" means serious business. "I would say knowledge of the game, energy, wisdom, passion, hard work, commitment, desire, I mean everything. I bring everything to the table," shared the 25th overall pick of the 2005 NBA draft.

The veteran guard also revealed that he kept himself in shape by joining the practices of the Washington Huskies, his college alma mater. He is joining them on every drill and every shot and that made him feel like he's in college again.

He also reiterated that he is open in playing for any NBA team and is positive that he can be a big boost to any team that will pick him up.

After the news broke out, Robinson will officially enter the D-League Pool after his clearance from his Israeli club is released.

He averaged 11 points, three assists and 2.3 rebounds in his 11 seasons in the NBA and earned the reputation as a notorious scorer and athlete despite his frame.
