Super Bowl 2017: Tom Brady Leads Patriots To A Historic Comeback Victory Over Falcons [VIDEO]

The New England Patriots produced a remarkable recovery to beat Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in the Super Bowl 2017 match-up. It was one of the best comebacks in the Super Bowl history and Patriots claimed their fifth in dramatic circumstances.

The Patriots were down and out trailing by 25 points, but they recovered to level at 28-28 and force the extra period for the first time in the Super Bowl history. Quarter-back Tom Brady eventually led the recovery, finishing with a record 466 yards and in process was named as Super Bowl's most valuable player for the fourth time.

The comeback was completed when James White scored on a two-yard run, taking his personal tally in the game to 20 points. The previous best deficit that was overcome by eventual Super Bowl champions was 10 points, a record that has been shattered emphatically by the Patriots at Houston's NRG Stadium on an incredible night. Lady Gaga performed spectacularly in a half-time show.

The singer started her set by singing Woodie Guthrie's civil rights anthem "This Land is your Land," a gentle song but pointed rebuke to the Trump administration.

39-year old Tom Brady after the game said outcome could have been different had any part of the Patriots team not done its job. A key moment in the match arrived when Patriots were trailing 28-20 with 2:20 remaining in the final quarter and Julian Edelman made a miraculous catch for a first down, he somehow managed to grap the ball when three opponents were around. After that it was tipped in the air by Falcons' cornerback Robert Alford.

Later Tom Brady said he couldn't believe the Edelman catch, it was one of the greatest catches of all time. He suspects even the player didn't knew much about it when he was catching the ball. To be 28-3 down, it was a combination of mental toughness and resilience that took the Patrtiots over the line, truly a memorable day at the Super Bowl event.
