All New 2018 Ford Expedition Revealed: The Aluminum-Sided Expedition SUV

Ford is all set to come up with the highly anticipated SUV, the new 2018 Ford Expedition. After the F-series, it is the second creation of Ford which will get the aluminum treatment. The 2018 Ford Expedition will be lighter as much as 300 pounds than the previous models. And this is all because of the high strength steel frame and the new aluminum body. This SUV is not the first of its kind to be made of aluminum. Land Rover came out with one in the year 2012.

The new Ford Expedition will have a better capacity to carry passengers. The eight-seater will be a bit longer with a new sleek design. It will also have a new mesh grille. As per the engine, it will have the capacity of 3.5 liters Eco-boost V6 engine with a 10-speed transmission of towing capacity. Other than all these facilities Ford Expedition will also have a 360-degree camera, an automatic parallel parking. There will be an adaptive cruise control that will work in traffics signals as said by ABC News.

According to Forbes, the design perspective the Ford Expedition will look quite similar as that of the other Ford cars. Other than the face of the car the latest Expedition's look will somewhat resemble Tahoe. The look and structure are attractive enough but somehow the whole look of the model is uninspired.

The 2018 Ford Expedition will come in two sizes. There will a standard edition that will compete with the existing Ford vehicle, Tahoe. And there will be an extended XL that will challenge the existing Sunburn. Both the cars will be one inch wider than the previous Ford cars. The only difference that XL will show a bigger in overall length and wheelbase. Still, now the pricing hasn't been released but this car will be launch around the end of this fall as said by Ford.
