Watch Out Youngbloods, Uncle Drew Is Back To School You Once Again During The All-Star Weekend

Sometimes you just can't keep an old man down. Well, in this case, a young man in an old man get up. Just when everybody thought that they've seen the last of America's favorite senior citizen, they were wrong. Old man Uncle Drew, the on-screen persona played by Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, is back with a bang.

Kyrie Irving's Uncle Drew character will be returning in a new Pepsi ad commercial that will make its debut on the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend happening this week, according to a report from Complex. This year's NBA All-Star Weekend will be held in New Orleans.

The latest Pepsi ad is the fifth installment of the Kyrie Irving's Uncle Drew series. Uncle Drew made its debut back in 2012 and since then has become an instant hit with fans keenly awaiting the next appearance of Uncle Drew.

 Since the debut of Uncle Drew, several NBA and WNBA stars have made an appearance on the series. Kyrie Irving's teammate from the Cleveland Cavaliers Kevin Love, former NBA stars Baron Davis, Ray Allen, and Nate Robinson, and WNBA All-Star Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx have all worn the old person get up.

Pepsi has already released a teaser ahead of the NBA All-Star Weekend. The new Uncle Drew short shows, Kyrie Irving, together with JB Smoove and Baron Davis, watching the NBA All-Star Game. As Uncle Drew and the two other old guys are watching, Uncle Drew comments about how the All-Star game has turned into a game of just about getting buckets.

Aside from the latest Uncle Drew ad, Pepsi, and Kyrie Irving are also set to officially launch the UncleDrew.com on All-Star Weekend. The new website will offer all the Uncle Drew merchandise and will also feature behind-the-scene footages and the full catalog of the Uncle Drew series. An Uncle Drew movie is also in the works as both Kyrie Irving and Pepsi are collaborating in making the movie, via a report from ESPN.
