"Battlefield 1" Update Brings Some Balancing Changes, New DLC Details

'Battlefield 1' is a rousing return to the franchise's roots of world war inspired gameplay. Developer DICE has continuously updated the game with a constant stream of updates and DLC's with the latest involving some balancing changes along with new weapons.

'Battlefield 1's' Community Test Environment just received a patch today that reduces grenade spam and nerfs anti-air cannon among other changes according to PVP Live. Changes in the test environment are subject to changes and will not necessarily reflect on the main game in the upcoming updates.

Players will be using less of grenades with the new update as resupplies will be happening much less often. This is a response to players who excessively use explosives whose goal is to reduce the number of grenades available while getting constantly resupplied.

Resupply timers for grenades in 'Battlefield 1' are now increased to accommodate these changes which now times in at 18 to 36 seconds. Grenades also resupply three times as fast near ammo crates in Battlefield 1. Meanwhile, ammo pouches no longer carry resupply grenades.

Anti-air devices were deemed too powerful since Battlefield 1 launched which was subsequently nerfed in the fall update. But those adjustments weren't enough as they will be receiving another nerf this time, in terms of their impact damage.

First off, Anti-air devices in 'Battlefield 1' no longer have blast and impact pulse which can rotate planes and lead them to their demise. Moreover, planes will also be receiving damage reduction from anti-air devices reducing their effectiveness. Lastly, some small tweaks on some weapons in 'Battlefield 1' will make their way on the new update. Here are a few notable changes.

Battlefield 1's M1903 Experimental now has a reduced fire rate from 450 to 360. But it does have an increase in close range damage to offset the fire rate reduction. The Hellriegel 1915 will also be getting some changes with the new update for 'Battlefield 1'. There will be an increase in horizontal recoil and move hip fire dispersion which may make the weapon harder to use.
