Today at 4:25 p.m. ET, the San Francisco 49ers (6-3) and New Orleans Saints (7-2) square off live from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. The game could be live streamed here. The last time the 49ers were in the Superdome, they lost the Super Bowl to the Baltimore Ravens last winter, and they'll return looking to avenge that and a 10-9 home loss to the Carolina Panthers in Week 10. The Saints enter with home dominance, having a 175-76 home scoring advantage at home and the team is coming off of a 49-17 rout of the Dallas Cowboys last week.
"We've got a tough game coming up, and we're not going to wallow in [the loss to Carolina]," 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said per ESPN. "We're going to move on to New Orleans."
The Saints bounced back in Week 10 after a loss to the New York Jets, and recorded an NFL-record 40 first downs and a team-record 625 yards against Dallas.
"You don't play many games like that, and every once in a while you find yourself on the good end and sometimes you find yourself once in a while on the bad end," New Orleans coach Sean Payton via ESPN. "You hope when your career is done you have more experiences on the good end."
Quarterback Drew Brees threw for 392 yards with four touchdowns while running back Mark Ingram had a career-best 140 rushing yards on 14 carries. On the season, Brees is 247-for-363 (68.0%) for 3,064 yards with 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions while Ingram has rushed for 195 yards on 35 carries and has added a score.
San Francisco will look to get its offense going after it scored a measly nine points in Week 10, and they'll have the task of doing it against a team that allows an average of 18.1 points.
Colin Kaepernick was sacked a season-high six times last week and threw for 91 yards with an interception. Kaepernick is 124-for-220 (56.4%) for 1,675 yards with nine touchdowns and six picks this season.
"The way we look at it is as a unit. Offensively, we didn't play well enough to win the game," Harbaugh told ESPN. "Across the board, we take accountability for that and have fingerprints on it."
Frank Gore had a solid game for the 49ers last week, rushing for 82 yards on 16 tries, but he failed to reach the endzone after scoring four times in the past two games. On the season, Gore is ranked sixth with 700 yards on 162 carries and seven scores. Tight end Vernon Davis (concussion) is expected to return for the 49ers.
The 49ers look to get their offense going while the Saints will hope to continue their home-field dominance when these two teams take the field in New Orleans this afternoon.
