What the Alfa Romero Giulia Quadrifoglio is Really Made of

Alfa Romro is raring to get into the North American market. Ten years ago, then Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne has pledged to bring the Italian brand inside the United States to no avail.

In 2009, an opportunity has cropped up. Fiat has entered into a partnership with Chrysler to make things happen. The entry of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has made the Italian dream feasible. By using Chrysler's Dodge platform, the Giulia has finally landed in America.

With an ultrasonic machine on the road, Italy will be unleashing a storm across the United States. The zooming power comes through the Quadrifoglio's 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine which is able to unload 505 horsepower with 443 pound-feet of torque.

The roaring machine under the hood of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has been adapted from Ferrari. The Italian racing brand has manufactured the F154 twin-turbo V8 which propels the 488GTB and the California T of Scuderia. The Maserati Quattroporte GTS is also a part of these engine links.

Based on the 7,250-rpm limit, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is able to incur a 6,500 figure. The high-speed efficiency of this unit is driven by the V6 through a torque-vectoring rear wheel differential.

The Giulia comes in two models. Aside from the 6-speed manual item, an 8-speed automatic gearbox brand is also available. With the integration of carbon materials on its roof, hood and driveshaft, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is able to limit its weight at around 3,600 pounds.

Perhaps the notable items that add a bit of mass to the frame are the front fenders and doors. Both are made of aluminum. Compared to the BMW M3, the Mercedes-AMG C63 and the Cadillac ATS-V, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio can definitely hold its own. At 3,000rpm, the engine is set to pack it in for an eventual speed boost.

What makes the Quadrifoglio distinct is the fact that its acceleration process is spontaneous. When the speedometer rate increases, the turbos are on a roll after a gear sinks in and the torque converter slips through.

In addition to speed, one other noteworthy characteristic of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is its control system. The vehicle's dynamic, natural and advanced efficiency modes provide the necessary stability when steering across the tracks.
