'Horizon Zero Dawn' DLC In Development, Guerrilla Games Looking For Expert Animator To Add More Creatures

"Horizon Zero Dawn" is Sony's new exclusive that has taken the gaming world by storm. It's unique mix of gameplay elements and open world setting is key to its success that has led to huge sales. While the game was just released a few days ago, fans have already begun to think what's next for the series. A recent tweet from developer Guerrilla Games might give clues as to what's coming next for "Horizon Zero Dawn."

A job posting made by Guerrilla Games on Twitter has the developer looking for an expert in animating real-time animalistic movements. The post also includes a picture from "Horizon Zero Dawn" which suggest that the new job will involve developing for the open world game.

Looking at Guerilla Game's site, requirements and descriptions are listed for the new job offer. Among the requirements included are five years of experience and a portfolio showing off realistic animations of creatures large and small. "Horizon Zero Dawn" is known to have large animatronic creatures so it's not far off to think that the latest listing is connected to "Horizon Zero Dawn."

Furthermore, besides "Horizon Zero Dawn" Guerilla Games has also developed the "Killzone" series in the past. It's possible to assume that the job listing is for an unannounced "Killzone" game. But then again, "Killzone" is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is almost devoid of animals. An expert in animal movements and animation with certainly fit more in the development of "Horizon Zero Dawn."

"Horizon Zero Dawn" was praised for its art direction especially with its robotic creatures that inhabit the game world that give a sense of awe. But one of the criticisms for the game is the lack of variety of the creatures which gets tiring as the game continues. A story DLC that features a host of new machine creatures may solve this issue and an expert in animation will be the perfect person for the job.
