Reports indicate that the following was taped on Tuesday night for the episode of WWE SmackDown set to air this Friday night from Atlanta Georgia in the WWE's final show before the Survivor Series pay-per-view this Sunday, Nov. 24. WWE focused on its final build up for the pay-per-view at the tapings.
In the main event of the evening, Daniel Bryan defeated Luke Harper in a preview of the tag team match that will take place Sunday at Survivor Series. After the match, Bryan was attacked by The Wyatt Family, but CM Punk made the save. The Wyatt's eventually regained control and the show ended with the Wyatt's standing tall over the prone bodies of Bryan and Punk.
To further the build up for the WWE Championship match pitting The Big Show against Randy Orton at Survivor Series, Big Show came out and cut a promo on Orton, talking about how he's going to win the title. Orton then came out and talked about having no help and no one having his back at the pay-per-view on Sunday.
The show opened up with a tag team title match pitting WWE Tag Champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust against Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro as a preview to the traditional elimination tag match that will take place at Survivor Series. Rhodes and Goldust picked up the victory after Goldust pinned Swagger. Zeb Colter cut a promo post-match. To continue the build for the traditional match, Rey Mysterio teamed up with the Usos and defeated The Shield.
Ryback was featured on the card as he came out and cut a promo before issuing an open challenge to anyone in the dressing room. The Great Khali came out and accepted it, but eventually fell after Ryback hit him with the Shellshocked for the win.
In other action, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil defeated 3MB as The Fabulous 3Birds, and Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston teamed up to defeat Curtis Axel and Damien Sandow in a tag match. Elsewhere in divas action, Cameron and Naomi defeated A.J. Lee in a handicap match made by Vickie Guerrero, though Tamina was at ringside and kept Cameron from tagging in.
This episode of SmackDown focused mostly on further building up the Survivor Series matches that include the WWE title match between Orton and Big Show, the two traditional Survivor Series matches and the big tag match between Punk and Bryan and the Wyatts.
