NBA News: Jeremy Lin Ready to Battle Russell Westbrook as Thunder Visits Nets Amid Snowstorm

Jeremy Lin and the Brooklyn Nets are looking to win their first back-to-back wins of the season on Tuesday. They will host Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Barclays Center amid a snowstorm.

The Nets are coming off a big win over their rivals the New York Knicks on Sunday at home. It was their first game at the Barclays Center since before the All-Star break. They went on an eight-game road trip to start the second half of the season wherein they went 2-6 while also getting back Jeremy Lin from injury.

The 28-year-old point guard helped the Nets end their 16-game losing skid, as well as a huge victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. Jeremy Lin came up big during the clutch and it's the same story against the Knicks on Sunday in the 120-122 win, per NBA.com.

"Linsanity" went crazy in the fourth quarter wherein he scored nine of his 13 points. He helped stave off the Knicks comeback to record their 12th win of the season. Lin and the Nets now must prepare for the red-hot Russell Westbrook and his Thunder.

Westbrook is having a historic season and he is coming off his 32nd triple-double of the season. He is currently averaging 31.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and 10.1 assists. The Thunder is on a two-game winning streak after suffering four straight defeats last week.

However, it seems like the showdown between Jeremy Lin and Russell Westbrook might not happen due to a snowstorm. According to NewsOK.com, New York City is expected to have 20 inches of snow in the next couple of days.

The Thunder team made it safely in the Big Apple on Monday before hundreds of flights were canceled. The NBA has not yet released a statement whether or not the game is going to happen as scheduled. Nevertheless, fans should get excited to watch Jeremy Lin and the Nets take on Westbrook and the Thunder at the Barclays Center.
