'Red Dead Redemption' Spoilers And Updates: Clues Point To Game Being A Prequel, To Feature Heists "GTA 5" Style Character Switch

"Red Dead Redemption 2" was revealed last October, along with a couple of teaser images and a brief trailer. But since then, Rockstar has been quiet with no updates or teasers after the initial reveal. But for eager fans who scoured the internet, it seems that there are more details regarding the sequel that Rockstar hasn't divulged.

One of the rumor suggests that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is actually a prequel. The prequel will feature the story of John Marston and his gang before they split up and go on their separate lives. The GTA forums are filled with fans who collected an assortment of clues that point towards a prequel.

For instance, one fan discovered an actor's resume that he did a motion capture job for Rockstar Games' "Red Dead Redemption 2." Supposedly, the character he portrayed was Dutch who died in the events for the first game. Dutch is part of John Marston's gang who was killed by Marston in the first game. With Dutch being brought back for the sequel, it's likely that the game will, in fact, be a prequel that will feature the adventures of Marston's gang.

Moreover, another fan discovered that several of the voice actors who voiced characters in the first "Red Dead Redemption" are friends in Facebook as reported by Kotaku. These voice actors portrayed John Marston and his gang and their connection on Facebook is enough for fans to speculate that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is, in fact, a sequel. Then again, these findings are hard to believe and are borderline creepy.

But the idea of a prequel for "Red Dead Redemption 2" isn't actually so bad. John Marston and his gang were notorious for their crimes as they committed robberies, raids, and murders. And from a story standpoint, it is potentially more action packed than the first game as it only had John Marston. The prequel now features his whole gang doing more stunts which could include GTA 5 style character switch and heists.
