'Red Dead Redepmtion 2' To Support 4k On Xbox Scorpio

Gamers are eagerly awaiting the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2", the sequel to one of the greatest games of the last console generation and is made by the pioneers of the modern open world game.

Games from Rockstar have always pushed the boundaries of what is possible in an open world console game and based on rumors, their newest game will also do the same but will do it exclusively on the Xbox Scorpio.

The current gold standard for gaming nowadays is playing at a 4k resolution at 60 fps which can only be done in high-end pcs. The Xbox Scorpio is touted to be the most powerful console of all time. While it won't be capable of doing 60 fps on 4k resolution, it will certainly come close to it. And to showcase the console's powerful capabilities, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be up to the task.

Like the first game, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature a fully realized western world centered around cowboys, bandits, native Americans, Mexicans and much more. According to Game Rant, the sequel will feature their rich world in 4k resolution which can is only possible on the Xbox Scorpio.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be one of the first games to feature the console gaming at 4k resolution on the Xbox Scorpio. Other games to have the same feature are reported to be are "Star Wars Battlefront 2" and "Forza 7." Along with third party games, Xbox Scorpio will also feature other exclusive games like Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2.

Xbox Scorpio is set for a reveal this Thursday which will mark the first time in several months that Microsoft has revealed something about the new console as reported by the Verge. If rumors are to be true, expect an announcement regarding "Red Dead Redemption 2" to make an appearance on the console.
