Lions A Dirty Team? [VDEO] After Thanksgiving Loss Packers OL Josh Sitton Stands By Comments That Detroit Players Are Dirtbags, 'I Don't Take Anything Back''

Being on the losing end of a Thanksgiving blowout loss by a count of 40-10 at Ford Field did nothing to change Green Bay Packers guard Josh Sitton's attitude about the Detroit Lions team being "a bunch of dirtbags."

Two days after blasting the team on a radio spot in Green Bay, Sitton stood by his comments following Green Bay's loss.

"I said what I said," Sitton told ESPN after Thursday's game. "I'm not taking it back."

The Lions defense, which Sitton described as "dirtbags and scumbags," sacked quarterback Matt Flynn seven times and held the Packers (5-6-1) to just 126 total yards of offense and the team's only touchdown came on a fumble recovery.

"They played good," Sitton said of the Lions defense via ESPN. "I mean, they played good up front. No one ever said they're not a good front. We know that. I think they're probably the best inside front probably in the league. But like I said, I don't take anything I said back."

Sitton appeared on the Milwaukee radio station WSSP Tuesday and blasted the Lions defense, coach Jim Schwartz and Detroit's defensive coaches.

"They go after quarterbacks," Sitton told WSSP, according to ESPN. "Their entire defense takes cheap shots all the time. That's what they do. That's who they are. They're a bunch of dirtbags or scumbags. That's how they play, and that's how they're coached."

He continued: "It starts with their frickin' coach. It starts with the head coach, Schwartz. He's a d---, too. I wouldn't want to play for him. It starts with him, and their D-coordinator and their D-line coach. They're all just scumbags, and so are the D-line."

Sitton said Tuesday he didn't think the Lions (7-5) needed any more motivation, so he didn't believe his comments had anything to do with Detroit coming out strong and winning the game in blowout fashion.

"We're grown men," he said via ESPN. "We don't need extra motivation and if you do, it's kind of silly. We're in the NFL. At least I'm self-motivated. I don't need anything else to motivate me."

Lions defensive end Devin Taylor, who was responsible for two of the seven sacks felt otherwise.

"I think it just kind of helped fuel our fire for this game and everything," Taylor said per ESPN. "But it's the same thing every week. Everyone always has their comments and everything they say about us so we just go out and play and do what we can do every week."

The NFC North rivals bad blood stems back to two Thanksgivings ago when defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh stomped on the arm of offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith.

"A lot of people have their opinions," said Suh, who had four tackles and one sack, according to ESPN. "People have opinions about me. We just go out there and play. It really doesn't mean anything to our defensive line, let alone the rest of our team and coaches. We just go out there and execute. We got the most important thing done, [which] is winning."

The Lions won in strong fashion behind their defense, no matter how the Packers feel about the way it plays.
