Manny Pacquiao Will Go Against Conor McGregor for One Epic Fight in 2021

One of Sen. Manny Pacquiao's assistants confirmed that they are in talks to arrange a fight with mixed martial artist Conor McGregor.

Previously, McGregor posted a tweet that he will be boxing with the eight-division boxing champion. In response, Pacquiao's aide Jayke Joson stated that they are completing the details regarding both fighters' preparation for "one epic last boxing fight."

In the statement, Joson confirmed: "...the negotiation between the camp of Senator Pacquiao and McGregor is now starting to move on. Again, as what our senator says, all his fights are dedicated to the welfare and unity of all Filipinos, including this one."

The representative also shared that the proceeds for the fight against McGregor next year will be donated to COVID-19 victims. Additionally, Joson noted that the champion-Senator would prefer not to talk about boxing at the moment.

Pacquiao's focus is to provide support for his countrymen instead, especially during this pandemic. A huge portion of his earnings will be given across the nation, specifically, places struck by the virus.

Head of Paradigm Sports Management Audie Attar is making necessary arrangements sure so that the fight happens just as McGregor tweeted. The showdown will most likely happen in the Middle East in early 2021.

Head of MP Promotions Sean Gibbons can also confirm that the talks have progressed rather rapidly even though both parties had a long way to go before the negotiations.

This is going to be McGregor's second showdown against a boxing super celebrity. The previous one was with Floyd Mayweather back in 2017. The former UFC champion lost to the Fighter of the Decade in a Technical Knockout in the 10th round.

As for Pacquiao, his last fight was against former WBA welterweight Super champion Keith Thurman. PacMan stole the crown after delivering a powerful combination to Thurman's head and body, knocking the former champion down.
