Mick Schumacher to Finally Race in Formula One in 2021, Inks With Haas

(Photo : Photo by Lars Baron/Getty Images) Being the son of seven-time Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher, F1 fans have been looking forward to Mick Schumacher stepping into his father's shoes. He has finally fulfilled their wishes as he signed up with Haas for the 2021 F1 season.

Mick Schumacher is now ready for his Formula One journey after agreeing to a multi-year deal with Haas.

The son of seven-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher will be embarking on his dream to happen while the intensity of the sports is increasing.

Adding a challenge to Schumacher's F1 campaign are F2 champions Geoge Russel and Charles Leclerc, who drew debut success upon joining the Formula One.

The 21-year-old Schumacher, who currently enjoys a 14-point advantage in Formula 2, went to a 10-podium finish two times.

His race, guided by Ferrari in December, was a big contributor to his signing. Following the Prema team, he has made positive adjustments in his routine ever since.

The budding youngster will join Nikita Mazepin to settle as a new duo for Ferrari, with partner Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean being replaced.

Mick, who was with his father during the Swiss Alps tragedy, never knew that day would be a huge life-changing event. The older Schumacher taught Mick tricks in kart-riding until he was engaged in the motorsports he most loved. Later, Mick decided to pursue his F1 run, even if it means surpassing all his limits when it is needed.

From the start, Schumacher is more than proud to emulate his father's footsteps. "Of course I use some of my father's tips - even from my karting days."

There is only one race to finish in the F2 championship before Schumacher jumps to what he believed is an unreachable feat.

His team principal in the Prema power team, Rene Rosin, praised how Mick's ideals came to transform into hard work.

"We've been working together already five years, and he's grown up as a driver and grown-up as a man. He's part of our team and an amazing driver to work with."

Mick entered the racing openers through special classes in ADAC F4 in 2015. He inched closer to popularity after his third 12th place finish in Monza for the FIA F3 European Championship.

F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who now banners Mercedes, also praised the rising racer in his efforts. He mentioned that Mick got his talent from Michael, and it will not burden Mick on his race.

What people did not know was that Schumacher hid under a nickname. Mick's karting stint ran along with his ghost names Betsch and Junior. His progress from the beginning was slow, yet, he showed no signs of steering away from getting better.

In another amazing feat, Schumacher garnered eight victories during the Formula 3 European Championship two years ago. He honed his talent to suit for Ferrari Academy in the following year for his official F2 entrance.

Mick will join the ranks of the Schumacher bloodline in F1 racing. Michael's brother, Ralf Schumacher, accomplished six wins out of his 180 races from 1997 to 2007.

His father Michael top-notched second-all time wins at 91, with Hamilton on the lead with 95 in F1.
