WWE RAW dropped to an all-time low record of 0.41 in the 18-49 target ratings demographic.

This Monday Night WWE RAW staged on December 14, turned out to be a disaster for the wrestling management after only hitting a 0.41 rating. The show estimated that the average viewership only attained 1.526 million viewers, a decline of 200,000 viewers than the previous week.

WWE RAW, which was first aired on January 11, 1993, was not only alarmed by the deteriorating quota of its audience as it even scraped a much lower rating in the key demo as compared to AEW Dynamite's rating of 0.45 last week.

No one could have anticipated WWE RAW touching the ground when it featured a solid screenplay of the "Nightmare Before TLC," wherein AJ Styles and Sheamus were settling a match when John Morrison and The Miz landed on the scene.

It was made to highlight the most anticipated championship between WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Styles at the TLC pay-per-view. WWE knew how to end the day with a striking remark. Styles, the No. 1 contender, jumped from the ladder and finished McIntyre on the table to win the WWE Championship TLC Title.

The previous week, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon underscored a handful of announcements during the quarterly earnings conference meeting.

The 75-year-old executive revealed a change of plans to address the decreasing viewer ratings in television.

Vince McMahon proclaimed that social media and YouTube had helped boost the viewership ratings of the WWE, setting aside the potential of the traditional medium like the television. Either way, the management is still focused on improving the TV ratings despite the edge of a more advanced media.

"That's not to say we don't want to increase [ratings]. Of course, we do but aside from that, our total audience is much bigger. You can't just hang your hat on, 'okay ratings are down'... We're never off the air," McMahon said via Wrestling News.

McMahon acknowledged the development of better story writing to improve the TV show ratings.

Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon reported to Vince McMahon that there had been an increase in the viewership since the WWE moved to the Thunder Dome.

The relocation of the WWE show happened due to the NBA Season approaching the stadium. With no fans attending for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE paved the way for the basketball teams to launch the bubble games at the Amway Center in Florida.

WWE's short stint at the ThunderDome relied on advanced technology. It brought fans to the virtual world where they can interact using the WWE website and other social media pages at the comfort of their homes. WWE showcased a lot of spectacular progress, including state-of-the-art drone videography, pyrotechnics display, revolutionary graphics, and other up-to-date changes.

RAW's low ratings were overshadowed by the NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cleveland Browns. The sports entertainment company was behind four NFL shows on ESPN. The match recorded 12.42 million viewers and 3.57 in 18-49 target ratings.

AEW Dynamite, the WWE Raw's counterpart, was found out to be more engaging in a larger population of the young audience. WWE Raw, on the other hand, was mostly watched by the older viewers.

Last week, RAW's viewership dropped to 12 percent. It dwindled to 29 percent in 18-34 and 20 percent in 18-49 target ratings.

In the same week in 2019, RAW decreased to 26 percent in viewers number. There was also a 48 percent decline in 18-34 and 32 percent decline in 18-49.

It was a change of heart for the male viewers to hit a low count in 35-49, RAW's strongest point in target ratings. Yet, it seems that WWE edged Dynamite in the women 18-49 but tied at the 12-34.

RAW beat Dynamite in males 12-34 with .27 compared to .25. Dynamite beat RAW with .57 in 35-49, as compared to RAW's .46.

For the tuning out, women 18-49 had the most tune-out frequency at 15 percent after one to three hours of watching. Men 18-49 recorded 10 percent.

President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan revealed that WWE would launch a Netflix series about Vince McMahon's life. He was looking forward to taking WWE talents to India to improve its reach in different regions.
