Connor McGregor is truly aging fast, and the latest defeat over Dustin Poirier gave others like Jake Paul, to challenge him inside a fighting arena.

Jake Paul Mocks McGregor

It's no surprise that McGregor's era has already ended. He is no longer the McGregor before who can pull many tricks like surprise submissions and hard grapples to his opponents. His defeat became a portal to other fighters to challenge him - and Jake Paul was the first in line to do so.

Youtube sensation Jake Paul challenged McGregor to accept a $50 million fight in the ring. This later was changed to a $10,000 offer which was posted by the 24-year-old internet star on his Instagram.

According to CBS, the Irish mixed martial artist called out Jake as a "confused little kid" after receiving taunts before his fight against Poirier. Somehow, this gimmick has been running for the Pauls, as the older Logan will arrange a match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. If McGregor will bite Jake's bait, this could be a low deal for a low quality of about - a pure disrespect on the part of Conor.

It's possible that if Jake Paul is given the chance to fight Conor, he will quickly climb to the boxing ladders. It could be recalled that McGregor lost to Mayweather in his first boxing career. At least Paul has the same idea in his mind if the upcoming fight will happen in the ring.

Paul's last fight put him in the boxing fame when he knocked out former NBA player Nate Robinson in the second round of their bout. This marked Jake's 2-0 record as a professional boxer.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Reacts to Conor's Loss

If Paul has the audacity to mock McGregor after his loss, the same way goes for Khabib Nurmagomedov who just called it quits in mixed martial arts.

Anyone who saw how McGregor was knocked out by Dustin Poirier in the UFC 257 was a relief, especially for non-fans. For the UFC lightweight titlist, slamming the Irish fighter is the best way to make him return to his senses. Way back in 2018, Khabib defeated Conor via submission.

"This is what [happens], when you change your team, leave the sparring partners who made you a champion and sparring with little kids, far away from reality," Khabib stated via Boxing Scene.

Although McGregor called out Khabib many times for a rematch, the Russian seems to shy away from the possible fight in the octagon. UFC President Dana White said that the possibility of Nurmagomedov's return will not happen sooner.

While Khabib was reportedly offered boxing fight proposals as high as $100 million, he prefers to stay away from the four-cornered ring.

Up to this day, Khabib still holds the longest win streak for a UFC fighter at 29-0, making him the greatest mixed martial artist to ever compete.

Poirier Admits 'Nearly Losing' to Conor

Conor's defeat was the talk of the world after Poirier pulled a vengeful TKO to him in the second round. The last time that McGregor and Poirier met was six years ago when the former won the featherweight bout via TKO in the first round during the UFC 178. Now, the Irish felt how to be TKOed at the dawn of his lackluster career.

While the majority sees Poirier as a one-sided winner, the 32-year-old philanthropist admitted that McGregor nearly knocked him out, as per Talk Sport. The American said that he was hurt in his left hand but he's still fine after the exchanges of punches.

"If he would have pressured and I would have gotten hit again, I think I would have been really hurt," Poirier said about McGregor's first-round win.

McGregor's next fight is still uncertain. Recently, he was linked to Manny Pacquiao for a possible boxing fight, but it seems that Ryan Garcia showed a bigger interest in fighting the "People's Champ." However, it is possible that his next fight could be among Nate Diaz, Dan Hooker, Justin Gaethje, Rafael Dos Anjos, and Michael Chandler.

Poirier, on the other hand, assured that he won't be facing Chandler in his next fight.
