San Francisco is looking to continue their playoff push and will get Michael Crabtree back as he makes his season debut while St. Louis enters play in last place in the NFC West but has blown out its last two opponents.

Crabtree is one of Colin Kaepernick's favorite targets, and the signal caller had a solid game last week when he led the charge in a 27-6 victory over the Washington Redskins by throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns. On the season, he is 156-for-275 (56.7%) for 2,037 yards with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

"Colin, he's been taking a lot of criticism, but one thing I like about Colin, he's always hanging in there. He's always fighting through adversity," tight end Vernon Davis told ESPN. "He's one of those guys who's tough. I don't know if I've ever seen anyone as tough as Colin, not just talking about the weight room tough, but emotionally."

Davis has 38 receptions for 623 yards and has reached the end zone nine times thus far this season.

Kaepernick will be excited to have Crabtree return to the team.

"He's a great player. He can make a lot of plays. I think everyone knows that," Kaepernick said of Crabtree via ESPN. "I wouldn't say a security blanket, but he is a playmaker for us."

For the Rams, rookie receiver Tavon Austin has been sparking the team and has four touchdowns of 50-plus yards in back-to-back games.

"I've been put in some great situations so far and I'm glad I took advantage of them and I hope they keep coming," said Austin who was picked No.8 overall in this year's draft, according to ESPN.

The 49ers will hope to get Frank Gore going as he's been held back the last few weeks. On the season, Gore has rushed for 779 yards on 188 carries and has added seven scores.

The 49ers will look to keep pace in the NFC wild-card while the Rams hope to continue their recent success when these teams take the field today in San Francisco.
