Denver's 2021 NFL campaign is off to a promising start after the Broncos trounced the New York Giants by 14 points in their opening game. This coming Sunday, the Broncos will look to make it two wins in a row when they square off with the Jacksonville Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field. Here's our preview of the Broncos vs Jaguars game.

Denver Broncos enter Week 2 as -2.5 favorites

Injury problems are mounting for the Denver Broncos ahead of their Week 2 clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and cornerback Ronald Darby were placed on injured reserve two days after the Broncos' season-opening victory against the New York Giants.

Jeudy suffered a high right ankle sprain during Denver's first possession of the second half and is expected to be sidelined for at least four to six weeks. Darby experienced some discomfort with his hamstring after playing 61 defensive snaps against the Giants and will now miss a minimum of three weeks.

Offensive lineman Graham Glasgow still hasn't practiced this week after leaving the Giants game in an ambulance due to a heart issue. Edge rusher Bradley Chubb is still limited after missing Week 1 because of an ankle injury. Defensive lineman Shelby Harris was a limited participant in practice as well due to a wrist problem.

The Broncos, however, are still favored to pull off the win against the Jaguars, given their excellent display in Week 1. Teddy Bridgewater starred in that victory, completing 28 of 36 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns.

Jacksonville Jaguars installed as +2.5 underdogs

Head coach Urban Meyer and quarterback Trevor Lawrence got a rude awakening in Week 1 as the Jacksonville Jaguars suffered an embarrassing 37-21 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. It was a disappointing defeat for the new-look Jaguars, who have now lost 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

It won't get any easier for the embattled Jags in Week 2 as they will next face the Denver Broncos, who started the season with an impressive victory over the New York Giants. It is paramount for Jacksonville that Lawrence gets his game going against Denver. Even though he threw for 332 yards and three touchdowns in the season opener, Lawrence also tossed three interceptions that contributed to the heavy loss against the Texans.

One thing that the Jaguars must address in their upcoming game against the Broncos is their penalty situation. The Jaguars racked up a total of 10 penalties in Week 1, beginning on their very first play, resulting in a loss of 82 yards. After Week 1, Jacksonville finished as the fifth-most penalized team in the league.

The good news for Jacksonville is that cornerback Tre Herndon might be back in action for the Jaguars this coming Sunday. He was a limited practice participant for the first time since suffering a knee injury in Jacksonville's preseason opener against the Cleveland Browns. Herndon is a vital part of the Jags' cornerback room, having started for Jacksonville in 26 games over the past two seasons.
