The Miami Dolphins recorded their biggest win of the season in Week 10, defeating the highly favored Baltimore Ravens, 22-10, on Thursday Night Football. Tua Tagovailoa came off the bench in the second half and delivered an inspired performance, leading the Dolphins to their second win in five days after starting the season 1-7.

Tua shines in relief for Miami

Tagovailoa was named on the bench for the second game running because of a fractured middle finger in his throwing hand. Jacoby Brissett started for Miami in this primetime showdown and he did an admirable job, passing for 156 yards before departing in the third quarter because of a right knee injury.

Tagovailoa entered the game with Miami holding a precarious 6-3 lead over Baltimore and he made sure the Dolphins will hold on for the famous victory. He completed 8 of 13 passes for 158 yards in his emergency relief appearance. Tagovailoa sealed the win for Miami with 2:19 remaining in the contest, scoring a 1-yard sneak that restored the Dolphins' two-possession advantage.

It was a disappointing defeat for the Ravens, who entered the game as 8.5-point favorites. Many expected Baltimore to run roughshod against Miami with the Ravens outscoring the Dolphins, 137-16 in their last three meetings.

Ravens' offense stutters in Miami

The Dolphins, however, decided that enough was enough as they put the clamps on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens' high-flying offense. Baltimore recorded just 10 points and 304 total yards in the Week 10 loss. That snapped the Ravens' 51-game streak of scoring at least 14 points in the regular season, the second-longest such run in the history of the NFL.

Jackson looked flustered all evening long, completing just 26 of 43 passes for 238 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He failed to get it going on the ground as well, rushing for just 39 yards on nine carries. The Ravens as a unit struggled with their run game against Miami's defensive line, rushing for just 94 yards. That is a far cry from their average of 154.1 yards rushing per game.

After combining for just nine points in the first three quarters, the Dolphins and the Ravens went on an offensive explosion in the final quarter. The Dolphins scored nine unanswered points in a short one minute and 11 second span to grab a 15-3 lead. Xavien Howard made the play of the game, forcing a fumble and returning it 49 yards for a touchdown to give the Dolphins a commanding advantage.

There is no quit with the Ravens, though, as they sliced the deficit to five points following Mark Andrews' touchdown. There would be no miracle comeback for Baltimore, however, this time around with Tagovailoa finding Albert Wilson for a 64-yard gain to set up Miami's second touchdown of the game.
