The New York Jets will head back home with momentum on their side after beating the Houston Texans in Week 12. Can Zach Wilson make it back-to-back wins for New York in this Eagles vs Jets showdown?

Philadelphia Eagles installed as -6.5 favorites

The Philadelphia Eagles had their two-game winning streak snapped in Week 12 with a 13-7 loss to the New York Giants. The Eagles had no answer for the Giants' swarming defense as they were held to their lowest scoring output this season.

It was a costly defeat for the Eagles, who dropped out of the playoff picture because of the loss. They now trail the Washington Football Team by a half-game for the seventh and final playoff spot in the NFC.

Jalen Hurts struggled mightily against the Giants, completing just 14 of 31 passes for 129 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. To make matters worse for Hurts, he suffered an ankle sprain in the second half of the loss to New York. The good news for the Eagles is that Hurts will be ready to go for the game against the Jets.

The Eagles need to establish their run game against the Jets. They racked up 208 yards rushing in the loss to the Giants. It was the third consecutive 200-yard rushing game for the Eagles.

Since losing to the Las Vegas Raiders on October 24, the Eagles have prioritized running the football. They have recorded 1,078 yards on the ground since that defeat, going 3-2 during that span.

New York Jets enter Week 13 as +6.5 underdogs

The New York Jets finally snapped their three-game losing skid with a 21-14 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 12. It was a big win for the Jets, who improved their record to 3-8.

Zach Wilson, who missed the Jets' previous four games because of a sprained right knee, completed just 14 of 24 passes for 145 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. However, he made a vital contribution on the ground, running for a score in the third quarter that gave the Jets the lead for good.

The win proved costly for the Jets as injuries struck some of their key players. Sheldon Rankins injured his knee in the fourth quarter, while Quincy Williams suffered a calf injury in the fourth quarter. Trevon Wesco also had a knee injury late in the game.

Things are bound to get more challenging for the Jets as they will next face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. They have yet to win against the Eagles in their history, losing all of their 11 previous meetings. The Eagles are the only team in the NFL that the Jets have not defeated.
