NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams is not fighting back the suspension handed to him following his recent race track parking controversy. However, he is also not regretting his choice that pushed him to the headlines over the past week.
Williams was suspended for one race by NASCAR after he disobeyed a request from officials during Saturday's Raptor 250 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. For those unaware, the 29-year-old driver shockingly parked his no. 92 Chevrolet Camaro on the checkered start-finish line after officials asked him to bring it to his team's garage. It is after debris were seen falling off his car, which came from the repaired part of the vehicle that got into a three-car crash earlier in the race.

Out of frustration and confusion by the order, he refused to bring his car to the garage and got out of it instead. He then walked back to the garage and even waved at the viewers as he headed to the pit road.

Josh Williams Suspended by NASCAR
As a result of his move, NASCAR slapped him with the suspension that will prevent him from participating in the NASCAR Xfinity Series 250 race that will be held at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas on Saturday.
On Twitter, Josh Williams spoke about the suspension and expressed his understanding on the punishment given to him. He also shared that he has no problem with NASCAR enforcing the rules, adding that he still fully supports the organization.
"Thank you to all of the fans for sticking by my side and showing love," Williams wrote. "I stand behind what I did and I don't regret any decision I made. I stand behind NASCAR for these decisions and will continue and always continue to support them. I am not going anywhere any time soon! I hope the loyal fans of NASCAR continue to fill the infields and grandstands."
The next race that Williams could be available in is the ToyotaCare 250 on April 1.
