On a night that the LA Clippers thrashed the Memphis Grizzlies 141-132, Russell Westbrook scored 30 points and 10 assists to become the first player in the history of the NBA to achieve a double-double with five different franchises.
Also, Westbrook is the only player in Clippers history to post 35 points, 10 assists, and 2 blocks in a game.
And that is not all as in the same game, Westbrook also passed Allen Iverson for the 27th spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 24,370, just 135 points away from Ray Allen for the 26th spot.

Indeed an excellent night for Westbrook, who had to pull through for a Grizzlies desperate for a win and playing without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. And a great treat for his fans, too, as they got to see their idol player not only play a great game but also make not one but multiple histories in one night.
Westbrook is back
After a dismal start to the 2022-23 NBA season, getting blamed for the LA Lakers' drab performance, Westbrook went from being a washout NBA star to the player the Clippers desperately need going into the playoffs.
Signing up with the Clippers may just be what Westbrook needs to rekindle his career, which has been on a decline since his peak MVP season in 2017. His average of 22.2 and 11.7 assists in the 2020-21 season dropped during the start of his stint with the Lakers to 18.5 per game. It was not surprising, though, as he had LeBron James and Anthony Davis as teammates.
However, the hype for his Lakers' stint yielded little as his numbers continued to dip to averaging only 15.9 points a game, his lowest since his rookie season.
The old Westbrook is back with the Clippers, as seen during their Grizzlies victory, wherein he posted a season-high 36 points, pulled 10 boards, and had 4 rebounds.
As the Lakers continue to hover at .500, perhaps, the problem was not solely Russell Westbrook.
