A Milestone in Marlin's History

Before this game, the Marlins were the only active team in Major League Baseball that had never had a player hit for the cycle. The Marlins entered the league as the Florida Marlins in 1992.

Arraez, who won the American League batting title with a .316 average as a member of the Minnesota Twins in 2022, was traded to the Marlins in a four-player deal in January 2023. He has had an impressive start to the 2023 season, going 22 for 41 (.537) in 12 games.

Arraez's incredible performance began with a double in the first inning, followed by a triple to the right-field corner in the sixth. In the seventh inning, his solo homer helped the Marlins extend their lead after the Phillies cut it to one in the sixth inning. Finally, in the eighth inning, Arraez singled to left field off Philadelphia reliever Andrew Bellatti, scoring Jazz Chisholm with the last run of the night.

This achievement will undoubtedly be remembered as a significant milestone in the Marlins' history, and with this feat, the twitterverse goes frenzy.
