Joakim Noah, the former standout center for the Chicago Bulls, has remained heavily involved in causes related to the city even after signing with the Knicks in 2016.

As a Bulls ambassador, he has announced the One City Basketball League launch in Chicago this month in collaboration with 28 violence-prevention groups.

The program targets men between 16 to 25 years old living on the West and South sides of the city and will offer players financial incentives, off-the-court programs, and job opportunities.

Joakim Noah's Consistent Rebounding

During his nine years with the Bulls, Noah was one of the premier big men in the game, known for his consistent rebounding, ranking fourth all-time in Chicago history in rebounds and first in franchise history in offensive rebounds.

He was also in the top 10 in steals, blocks, minutes played, and triple-doubles. With an average of a double-double in nearly five of his nine seasons, he was a dominant force for the Bulls.

Noah has always been involved in causes in the area, from the Noah's Arc Foundation that helps children to Peace Basketball Tournaments to end gang violence and "Rock Your Drop" necklaces to support anti-gang violence efforts.

His involvement in the One City Basketball League is another testament to his commitment to Chicago and the well-being of its residents. Noah's initiative offers not only an opportunity for young men to participate in basketball but also provides them with essential life skills and job opportunities, all while promoting non-violence in the community.
