The Golden State Warriors faced off against the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals after a dominant win over the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 of the first round.

Despite their best efforts, the Warriors could not secure a win against the Lakers, with a late-game surge by Stephen Curry falling short.

The Lakers claimed the victory, taking a 1-0 lead in the series and stealing the home-court advantage from the Warriors.

What if Stephen Curry Took the Shot?

In the fourth quarter, Jordan Poole attempted a three-point shot from deep with about 10 seconds left on the clock that would have tied the game.

Although the shot was a good look, and Poole had already hit six three-pointers at that point, it came in the context of a what-if.

What if Stephen Curry took the shot? Curry had a hot streak, with 14 points in the fourth quarter alone.

Before the series began, Draymond Green spoke about Jordan Poole's playoff struggles on his podcast, "The Draymond Green Show." However, he praised Poole's demeanor during the game, noting that he provided a boost of energy that the team fed off.

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr expressed satisfaction with Poole's performance, noting that the shot was one that he could hit and that he had already proven himself capable of hitting threes from that range in the past.

Despite the loss, the Warriors will look to bounce back in the next game and even the series.
