After the Phoenix Suns suffered a crushing defeat to the Denver Nuggets, eliminating them from the NBA Playoffs, rumors started circulating that the team might look to part ways with 38-year-old point guard Chris Paul.

Although this would mean trading the 12-time All-Star, former NBA star Dwight Howard had a different idea.

Dwight Howard Enjoying in Taiwan

Howard, who has been playing professionally in Taiwan after 18 seasons in the NBA, took to social media to recruit Paul to join him.

He posted a video of himself in front of a fake quote attributed to Paul: "If I don't win the ring with KD, I'm going to Taiwan with Dwight Howard."

Howard tagged Paul in the caption and asked, "Aye @CP3 what we doing?" He also tweeted "Taiwan calling" immediately after the Suns' loss.

Although Howard's comments towards Paul were likely meant to be humorous, he seems to have enjoyed his time in Taiwan.

Howard has been playing for the Taoyuan Leopards in Taiwan's T1 League. However, Howard faced some backlash in China after he praised Taiwan in a video, as China does not recognize Taiwan's independence.

As Paul enters the offseason, many will be curious to see his future. While it's unlikely, there's always the possibility that he could join Howard in Asia.
