Ja Morant Flashes Gun on Instagram Live a Second Time

The 23-year-old All-Star was seen holding a gun Sunday afternoon on Instagram Live by user _dtap2, a YouTube content creator who has featured Morant on his account before.

The former 2nd overall pick was sitting on the driver's seat of a car while jamming to music when he flashed the firearm out of nowhere.

The Memphis Grizzlies have taken the initiative to suspend the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year effective immediately on all team activities, pending league review.

Morant first flashed a gun on Instagram Live via his account on March 4 in a strip club, a few hours after his team lost to the top-seeded Denver Nuggets in Colorado. The move immediately received backlash from fans, former players, and management alike.

Morant later issued an apology for the incident, taking full responsibility for his actions as he vowed to get help and learn better methods of dealing with stress and his overall well-being.

The NBA later suspended him for eight games without pay due to the incident, and he reportedly entered a counseling program in Florida.

Sportswear giant Nike, with whom Morant has a signature shoe, released a statement of support for the young star.

Meanwhile, Powerade pulled out all their ads featuring Morant.
