Several prominent figures across the NBA gave tribute to ten-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony, who recently announced his retirement.

However, Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant's appreciation for Anthony's career differed from his peers.

Kevin Durant Roasts Carmelo Anthony

Durant posted a series of photos on his personal Instagram account via IG Stories, shortly after the 9th all-time leading scorer in NBA history posted a retirement video across his social media platforms.

The first photo portrays the two celebrating during the semifinal game of the 2012 London Olympics against Argentina as members of the USA Men's Basketball team.

The roasting began in the second photo, depicting Durant being guarded by Anthony while the two played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the New York Knicks, respectively.

KD called the latter's defensive efforts a "foul" during a regular season game.

The third photo was similar to the second one, but Anthony had the ball this time while Durant was guarding. With the former Knick's right arm swinging, Durant wrote "offensive foul" over the photo.

The last photo is arguably the funniest, with Durant posting a selfie while sporting a bald head look during the early days of Instagram. Anthony commented on the post, "Ya milk dud head ass!!!!! Lmfao."

Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony are regarded among the best scorers ever to play the game of basketball.
