Seasoned golfer Phil Mickelson made a bold take in a tweet, claiming that the LIV Golf tour is the best way to stay prepared for the major golf championships.

According to SB Nation, the 52-year-old golfer also pointed out that the Saudi Arabian-backed tour has enough events to keep players sharp, fresh and ready, yet not worn down from too many tournaments or obligations.

"14 LIV events, 34 weeks left open to prepare for the 4 majors. Fact.," Lefty added to end the tweet.

Mickelson has been affiliated with LIV Golf since June 2022, leaving his 30-year membership at the PGA Tour, according to ESPN and BBC Sport.

The prominent golfer has lost several sponsorships due to his support of LIV Golf, including a 14-year partnership with accounting firm KPMG and Dutch brewery company Amstel, as per SportsPro Media.

Despite losing several lucrative sponsors, he signed a massive deal with LIV Golf in the range of $200 million, as reported by Bleacher Report.

Several human rights groups slammed LIV Golf, calling it part of Saudi Arabia's effort to "sportswashing" its image by cleansing its global image.

Mickelson achieved a peak of number 2 in the Official World Golf Ranking in February 2011.

The PGA Tour previously suspended all players participating in the first LIV Golf event in June 2022, according to an article by ESPN.
