The two best welterweight boxers in the world, Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr., have agreed to hold a bout to unify the four world championships of the weight division.

The fight will be held on July 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Terence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr.: Best Welterweights In Boxing

Spence Jr. holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight titles, while Crawford has the WBO belt.

The two boxers have been widely considered the best welterweights in the world for years, but they have been unable to agree to face off until now.

Spence is the current number 1 welterweight boxer in The Ring and BoxRec's rankings, while Crawford is the world's best pound-for-pound fighter.

Each fighter will earn eight figures guaranteed, with pay-per-view rights going to Showtime.

A bidirectional rematch clause also exists, which the loser can trigger within 30 days after the fight. If the two fighters split the first two bouts, a trilogy will likely happen.

Crawford and Spence Jr. will put their undefeated records on the line, with the former having a 39-0 slate and a 28-0 win-loss record.

The match is easily the most anticipated fight in the sport since Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao faced off in 2015.
