Charles Barkley Wants Zion Williamson to Get in Shape

Barkley, who had a successful 16-year career in the league, told The Steam Room podcast with Ernie Johnson that Zion needs to get in shape because his injury problems will continue to pile up if he is not in condition, as per ClutchPoints.

The 1993 NBA Most Valuable Player also stated that former Sixers teammate and basketball legend Moses Malone advised him to lose 50 pounds, which changed the whole dynamic of his life.

Barkley also urged Williamson not to take his advice the wrong way, saying that he has been in Zion's shoes by being very talented but overweight. Overall, he still wants the Pelicans star to be a great player.

Barkley has commented on Williamson's weight multiple times throughout the years. After the former Duke player received a lucrative five-year extension worth $193 million in June 2022, the former Phoenix Sun said he would be the skinniest power forward in the history of civilization if he had that kind of contract.

Last week, Barkley gave a similar statement about the 2019 NBA Draft top pick needing to lose weight to reach his full potential.
