MLS side Inter Miami is not done acquiring former FC Barcelona players.

After claiming the catch of a lifetime by landing Lionel Messi, the Fort Lauderdale-based club is looking to bring in some of his former Barcelona teammates, namely striker Luis Suarez, defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets and left-back Jordi Alba, according to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul.

Messi, Suarez, Busquets, and Alba played together for the Spanish club from 2014 to 2020, winning the European continental treble during the 2014-15 season.

Suarez was eventually sold by Barcelona to Atletico Madrid during the pandemic year, while Messi departed for Paris Saint-Germain a year later.

Busquets and Alba just left the club last month and are currently free agents, lifting the La Liga trophy in their final season wearing the Blaugrana shirt.

Inter Miami Looks To Climb The Standings

The David Beckham-owned team is currently sitting at the bottom of Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.

They have only claimed 15 points so far with 5 wins and 11 losses in the league's 34 games per season format.

The Florida-based team is 27th among 29 teams in the overall MLS standings.

The club hopes acquiring the world's greatest player will help them move up the standings in time for the MLS Playoffs in October.

Aside from trying to get the former Barcelona players to come on board, Inter Miami is also courting Argentine star midfielder Angel Di Maria, who previously played for Real Madrid, Manchester United, PSG, and Juventus.

Di Maria scored Argentina's second goal in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Final.
