Unsigned Dalvin Cook Eyes Another Winning Season, Wants To Hold Vince Lombardi Trophy Again

Dalvin Cook will sign with a team that can contend for the Vince Lombardi trophy if he could have his way.

Cook was released by Minnesota Vikings last week after spending all of his six professional American football seasons with the team.

"I want to go win. Like I said, the money gonna come and that's going to happen. But like as far as going to lift that [Vince Lombardi] Trophy up, he got the same mindset as me."

Many expected the 27-year-old running back to remain with the Vikings by next season, but things took a different turn. He was expected to own $14.1 million in Minnesota's cap space for the coming season, but talks broke down, and he was eventually released.

Cook Says Playing With Unsigned DeAndre Hopkins Will Be Epic

DeAndre Hopkins is another player abruptly released by Arizona Cardinals, and Cook thinks their ending up together in one team would be epic for the NFL.

"I know his mindset, and I done play against D-Hop a numerous amount of times," Cook said during an appearance at The Adam Schefter Podcast.

"When I been with D-Hop, we done chill together, we done been around each other like, and it's like I kind of see the person that he is like, he want to win and that's what my mind at to."

It remains unclear whether the two will indeed end up on the same team. Hopkins has already visited the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots last week, while Cook targets Miami Dolphins.
