Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff is thankful for reserve driver Mick Schumacher's contributions for the team this season.

Despite not having a seat this year, the 24-year-old has been a visible presence in the paddock each Grand Prix weekend.

Woff is happy to have a mature, successful, and experienced Formula 1 driver supporting the team.

"In the simulator with his feedback, that is of tremendous advantage. At some of the European Grands Prix, having him on the sim overnight [on Friday] and providing data for Saturday is a super advantage for us," the Mercedes chief said.

Wolff praised Schumacher's work ethic at the German outfit's base in Brackley, England. He remains confident in Schumacher's driving abilities if he would be called upon to stand in for Lewis Hamilton or George Russell in a race.
