Trae Young expressed sympathy towards Zion Williamson and Ja Morant due to the troubles hounding them and hoped they could pull through.

The Atlanta Hawks star made the comments in his podcast From the Point, wherein he even claimed that the two, who went first and second in the 2019 draft, could be the new faces of the NBA with Lebron James and Kevin Durant getting older.

"I mean, for me, I know them personally, so I really hope they get out of this situation and pull out on the right side because they're so talented, they're so good," he said.

"The league needs these types of players for it to go, because obviously LeBron, guys like [Kevin Durant], these guys are getting older, so guys are about to start being out of the league."

Morant has been suspended twice due to gun-related issues and is set to serve a 25-game suspension next season. On the other hand, Williamson hasn't seen that much time on the court due to injuries and is now accused by an adult film star of having a sex tape.

Trae on what causes troubles for young NBA players

Young also tried to make sense of the situation young players like Morant and Williamson are in.

He believes that social media is to blame.

"So it's kinda weird being in the NBA," he said.

"It's a totally different experience having social media, but it's crazy, just certain situations that are going on right now with Zion and Ja, but there's other instances that've happened."
